Sharon and Jim's Trip to Costa Rica

The Waterfalls

On our last day in Quepos, Sharon wanted to go horseback riding. The ride was on a nearby farm where the destination was one of Costa Rica's numerous waterfalls. Here she is swimming in the pool and enjoying the refreshing waters.

After our long bus ride back to San Jose from La Mariposa, (I'll take the plane next time!), we had six hours to kill the next day before departing for the States. We hired a personal guide for $80 to take us to a nearby volcano, Puoz, and then to the airport. When we got to the volcano, the clouds were so low we couldn't really see anything, so our guide, Juan, drove us to this great little waterfall. Juan is on the left and Sharon is on the right.

During our drive, Juan told us much about the Costa Rican lifestyle and in retrospect, this little side journey may have been the most rewarding part of our trip. All in all, we both enjoyed our visit to Costa Rica and feel the warmth of the people and the amazing landscape make this a great destination for nearly anyone.

The End...
