The Table Saw Bench Guide is a book which covers many particular aspects of the types and uses of the Table saw. The book has many pictures and diagrams which help the reader understand each procedure.

The following topics are covered in this book: Types of saws, parts and accessories and the different types of blades and their uses. There is a section on dado heads and the different types of joints that can be cut with the dado cutter. There is a full section on single blade cutting techniques, from ripping narrow stock to dovetail dados. There is an interesting section on door making that I am going to try. The final chapter covers different safety concerns around the table saw.

This is a thorough book that I would recommend for the beginner to intermediate wood worker. If you were just getting your feet wet in working with wood and thinking about purchasing a table saw, this would be a great reference to use to get to know some of the capabilities of the machine.

I have a moderate degree of experience in wood and look forward to trying some of the operations found in this book. The experienced professional may already have a working knowledge of much of the material presented.
