This book is written to help the woodworker make his/her shop safer, cleaner and healthier by choosing the proper dust collection system. Rick Peters does a thorough job in this 8-chapter book.

The topics covered are Dust Systems, Selection of a Collector, Designing a System, Installation, Shop-Made Pickups, Jigs and Fixtures, Maintenance and Repair, and finally Trouble Shooting.

Rick covers types of dust you will come across, the health risks associated with the dust and then the proper prevention plan to put in place. He also covers what to look for in particular systems and how to tweak the system to your shop and even individual machines.

This book is loaded with pictures and quite easy to understand. Rick made a believer out of me and although I would like to spend my money on machines, tools and wood, I have put a collection system on the priority list.

This is an easy read book which would be helpful for anyone interested in dust collection in the shop.
