Oak Chest

This piece is just a part of a bedroom suite built for a local couple. What distinguishes it from most contemporary furniture built along this style is the use of solid wood for the sides and top. Thicker oak is used to enable the grain to follow the 3" radius corners.

The drawers are poplar and dovetailed to the solid oak faces. Plywood is only used for the dust panels and back. The finish is walnut stained danish oil.

I'm finished here.
