and styles of toys have changed too. Still, wooden trains and tracks engage and inspire imagination in young children. Fabricated from hardwoods like maple or beech the engines cars and tracks can last for generations and are fun to mess with both to play and build. If you have a youngster at hand or foot or know of one, trains make great gifts and projects. Here are some ideas.
