Yep Here's another pesky glider updates My next stage of framing the wings are to drill a small hole 1/32 into the end of each leading and tailing wing rib and insert a small cotter pin into the drilled hole secured with a drop of CA glue. A 1/16 in. cable will be threaded through each eyelet of the cotter pins, creating a leading and tailing edge wire for the fabric skin to be attached to the wood frame of the wing. Very Happy

Your updates are not at all "PESKY"! They are very interesting and informative and I enjoy them a lot! Keep them going.

That seems to be a lot of holes to drill and cotter pins to install. Did you buy stock in the cotter pin company? BSEG I have thousands of cotter pins around here but, I don't think I have more than 5 of any one size. Laughing Laughing

Well by my count I need 224 cotter pins to complete the installation of the tailing and leading edges of the wings. Now I got to figure out how to weld aluminum, any ideas ?

First off you'll need a tig welder. And lot's of practice. My advice would be to draft a pro to do it. Maybe give him some credit on the build, in lieu of payment.

Here's a brief how to: http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/aluminum-welding-training.html
