As posted earlier....Carolyn, my precious friend of 57 years, and I took the class from Russ Filbeck in January. I built the Sack Back and she built the Fan Back Windsor.
You can see the knuckles on my Sack Back behind hers amd this is HER FanBack getting a final sanding before milk paint finish! These are so gratifying to accomplish! Can't wait to make some more!

Don,
I feel like a caveman beating the Alamo carriage together against these pictures of your chairs.
Your chairs take real talent and patience of a kind I totally lack.
When working on the huge carriage, all I can say is "get a bigger hammer"!
Hardly a fine woodworking requirement.

Don,

Those chairs look like a lot of work and awesome at the same time! Nice!

After going through the grits sanding this thing, then giving it a good shellacking and another sanding 240 grit.... here is the first of 3 coats of Lilly Pad Green milk paint. I can always paint it black if I don't like this but the original windsors were called green chairs....from what I've seen they were more of a darker green than this...but this is all I could find and I am not in the mood to start mixing milk paint!

Next will be a final coat of shellac for final finish!
