Thanks for thinking about me Gene.
Yesterday was a rough day starting at 1:30 AM. Second day in a row.
Last night at 7:30 the water was 3" from the front door. We thought flooding was eminent.
Right then the water started slowly receding in spite of heavy rain.
It went down all night but never stopped raining.
It's still raining.
News people say we had 40" to 50".
We have dry carpet but the house is a wreck.
Everything is set up on wooden blocks and piled on top of everything else.
Good thing I am a woodworker and had lots of scrap 4" X 4" blocks laying around.
We have 2 1/2" of standing water in our lower bar area in the rear of the house that I bailed out this morning but we have dry carpet.
Did I say we have dry carpet?
We are okay.
Here are some pics.

My water well head
Standing in the doorway of my front porch which doesn't have a step.
Lost an oak tree that fell across the street. Cut it up two mornings ago at dawn in the pouring rain.
Luckily, a neighbor had a chain saw. I don't have one.
Back yard had a river flowing across the pool.
Sunken bar area in the back of the house. I bailed it out this morning.
It didn't make it high enough to get the carpet.
Al in all, we are much more fortunate than the tens of thousands that had to be rescued.
A news caster reported that a rescue boat was cruising the entirely flooded interstate highway and saw a guy waist deep in water waving his arms. When they got up to him, they asked him what he was standing on. He said it was his 18 wheeler.
