Twin dressers for my twin daughters who are 8 years old. I have been working on this project in my spare time for over a year and now they're finnaly done. The girls are ecstatic!
Woods used are cherry, maple and walnut. The pulls are a bent lamination and attached with walnut dowels. The tops feature breadboard ends with walnut accent pins. The drawer boxes are maple ply edged with cherry riding on full extension ball bearing guides. Drawer box joinery is tungue and groove. Finish is oil and poly. I'm very pleased with how they came out and I hope I have inspired some, as I have been inspired by others. I owe a big thank you to the members here at the WWA as this is where I started my woodworking journey and education 12 years ago. Enjoy the photos.

Hey Dewayne,

They look fantastic! I'm sure that they will be cherished for generations.
Please save these photos and compare them with some new photos in a few years. I would love to see how these pieces age.

Cheers,
Tom

Yes, the cherry will darken over the years. I have a matching changing table made 9 years ago that has darkened quite a bit.

I remember that changing table, Dewayne. It, too, is heirloom quality and these beautiful chests will be treasures for your grandkids' grandkids!! They are really well done. You seem to have coined your own personal design! I haven't seen that other than your changing table anywhere else. What inspired the curves?
Like Tom, I'd love to see these age, too.

Wonderful work and fantastic workmanship.
They will last through your great grandchildren.

Thank you. I suppose the curves are inspired by my previous designs. It all started with a sketch and wanting to complement the other furniture I have built for my kids.
