Yup! and its been a very wet one, which is nice for some, and I'm one of them! But soon enough it will be hotter than heck, and that will wipe the smirk off my face!

ERIC: IIRC you have a wild fire problem in your area. Are you expecting a hotter than usual summer and will the wet spring help with the fire situation?

yes we do have that issue, but it's not going to start early this year that's for sure. However when the grass does finish growing and cures it may well be a problem for fast running grass fires.
As to the forests we have had so much rain I will be surprised if there are any big blazes, but I am often surprised....

As with every fire season, you don't really know till the next autumn. We have had just short of 200 mm of rain this September, which for here is a lot.
