Doldrums are no FUN.....Working in my shop has always been the solution for me. Problem is....I get a project started...then before I can finish it (awaiting hardware or a myriad of other reasons to put it on hold) I start another one! The last few weeks I've been reluctant to allocate shop time because I had so many small projects on my bench that turned into a pile of clutter. Today I cleaned it up! Making some serious resolutions! I turned 70 this year and it's time to start treasuring the moments left to me.
I built my bench in 2004, then flattened it & upgraded it with drawers in about 2007. Today I cleaned it off......made good use of the LN chisel plane that has been languishing in my plane cabinet hoping to find a way to prove it's worth. It is one of those tools that 'caught my eye' and I snapped it up without much thought....but there are times like today when I'm glad I have it.
To my surprise....the bench is still dead flat! The twin screw end vise chop sinks about 1/16th inch but the bench is flat. Makes me happy...love this bench. This album started in summer of 2007 so you'll have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the last 6 photos I added today...of the 'clean' bench!
