Hey Folks,

This year it's time again for our biennial woodshop pig roast. In the past, we have held it at early as April and and as late as Memorial Day. If there is a chance that any of you can make it this year, let me know your availability and we'll try to accommodate you on the date.

Ill be back home in June and July, but wont be able to get up your way . Im always in awe of your shindig.

I am toying with the trip to the pig roast but would only be able between May 5 to May 19. Its a 4 day
trip minimum and want to be home by Memorial Day.
I presume it is a pot luck but we would have to buy something, maybe plates, plastic ware etc
or another idea.

Hey Duane, et al.,

I've just been informed that May is not a good month this year, mostly because of my god daughter's graduation from UC Berkeley in May. So it looks like June. I've always avoided June because it tends to be wetter here than in May, but this is an El Nino year, so who knows.

I'll narrow it down more, as soon as I can.

Hey Dennis, et al.,

Now that you mention it, YES!
In an effort to avoid everybody's family holidays, like Memorial Day, and Father's Day, plus all the graduations we need to attend this year, we've decided on Sunday, Jun 7.

As usual, we'll be there setting up all day. The pig goes in at 11:00 AM and comes out whenever it's ready, usually around 3:00 PM but sometimes 4:00 PM if it's cooler outside. There's always a number of chairs to pull up to the fire outside, or the wood stove inside, if needed. So we'll be eating roast pig, rain or shine.

If you can make it, send me a PM and I'll send you the address and directions to the shop.

I am *so* looking forward to it, it'll be great to see everyone. Am wondering if TMS built anything out of the yew I shared a few years ago. Starting the big clean-up in the shop yesterday, I ran across a box with some practice bowls in it. Little tiny things, they were. Will have to relearn from scratch. Not that I ever really "learned" in the first place -- as you know first-hand, but I'll literally have to watch some videos before I turn the lathe on

Wow, what a treat weather-wise. I seem to remember one Roast that wasn't so toastie, downright chilly even! Are there any woodworking activities scheduled this year? We'll probably show up around 1 o'clock, have to arrange our schedule around the new boys and their feeding times.
