If I were living in Louisiana, what would be the ideal furniture moisture content up there in cajun land?

For a further extra kudos, what type of lumber was the preferred local timber in the 19th century? (I have no answer for this, so you will have to support your argument with references    )

Okay enjoy yourselves

50 percent moisture.........SYP (Southern Yellow Pine) and Cyprus are both very common woods there.
