Just got the call, my daughter is being sent home from college with the swine flu. Wife went to pick her up after dinner. :(

Our youngest son Aaron room mate at school has swine flu, so far he is OK.
Your daughter is in our prayers.

The neighbor's oldest daughter had it a few weeks ago. She was too sick to go to school or work, but she didn't give it to her sister, two brothers or parents.

It has been very sproatic (sp?) around here too. The oldest son of one of our salesmen that call on us had it but none of the rest of them got it, but the doctor put them all on Tamiflu.

I am scared to death Duane will get it, he is even using the waterless GermX soap. We have a bottle in the house and in each vehicle, when we get back in the car from shopping etc. the first thing we do is "hit the bottle" :D

I bought one and put it on my desk at work, it is funny how many times it gets used a day by "manly men" :D

This is not one to take lightly. A friend of mine here at work has been back and forth to the hospital for the past month. His Son in law got it and spent about 3 weeks in ICU 2 of them in an induced coma. He's now undergoing speach and physical therapy and looking like he won't actually get back to work for another 3 to 4 months. This one plays for keeps.

Both of my sons had it... get your daughter to a doc immediately if she hasn't already. Both boys were given Tamiflu, and they rebounded quickly from it...

Remember, she needs lots of rest and supportive care. Just keep an eye on her for any symptoms that seem to be getting out of control

And, wash yer hands!

She goes to the doc this afternoon. Hopefully she gets the tamiflu.

Co-workers small granddaughter had the "sniffles" went from that to extreme high fever, vomiting, passed out, all within about 3 hours, they were traveling home and ambulances, emts, highway patrol etc all met them on the road, and got her to the hospital last night--she went home today with meds and is much better.

Seems to be hitting the young ones extremely fast and hard.

I think we better all start saying our prayers that is bugger goes away fast.

I sure hope all of them get better quick. From the news accounts, it is hitting the younger ones really hard.

Eleven lives lost here in KY, some of them adults.
