I needed a stand for my new Jet 10x14 lathe. I originally wanted the Jet stand to go with the lathe. But that would take a coupla weeks. So I did some research and found this stand. It's 48"X18"X30" high. I went to the Big Box and rifled thru their 2/4s till I found a few that were not too knotty, twisted or running with sap. I planed them down and built this stand. I used 3/4" MDF for the top and shelves and covered them with formica. I used 1/4" ply instead of peg board, cause that's what I had. It may not be furniture grade but the size is right and there are 2 shelves to store more stuff..
