WWA Info Exchange

I have been offered two wagons load of chestnut lumber from a barn that was torn down years ago and stored in a barn ever since. It is far more lumber than I will ever use. It consists of boards up to 20 inches wide, 2x8s, and several in between sizes. The problem I have is I have little storage space available . Such is life.

I have to think it is pretty valuable. Of coarse you have to store it before you can sell it.
A lumber yard might buy it all.
I saw old pine, barn wood boards here in Houston for $14 per "linear" foot. And they were only about 10" wide.
They bought them from someone. Just sayin'.

I did a partial inventory of the chestnut limber there are 40 2x6 's and 2x8's twelve foot long mixed together and about fifteen 1x8's as well as some nice 1x4's. Plus two boards sixteen inches wide x 1inch thick 12 feet long. I found a lumber dealer that will buy them so It looks like I'll be getting some money from them to give the guy that offered them to me. He is wheel chair bound due to a traffic accident.
