We found out yesterday that Liz could be in the very early stages of dementia. The Dr. said we shouldn't worry yet because it wasn't that serious yet. She will start a sentence and get half way through it and forget what she was going to say. There are a lot of other things, including sleeping all day every day, sometimes up to 4pm. And then all she does is watch TV. Please pray for us. I will keep you posted.

I don't mean to down play the situation but my wife has had the same problems for many years. My pre- school grand daughter would often ask her "what grandma " when she stopped in the middle of a sentence. (The grand daughter is now in college). My mother-in law suffered from dimentia for the last fifteen years of her life so I realize how bad it can become. My wife spends hours each day on cross word puzzles and suduku problems to exercise her mind. Remember the only thing worse than losing your mind is to worry about losing your mind.Look for things that will help her use her mind with out adding stress. Remembering good thing helps take your mind off of the not so good things. Praying helps relax the mind. Remember God is up all night so let him handle the problem, while you do what you can to keep positive.

Actually, she's getting worse. This morning, she asked if she could ask me a question. I went down the hall and came back and asked her what was the question. She couldn't remember. I'm getting concerned.

Now is the time to remember Adam Clayton Powel's famous quote: "keep the faith baby!" .When things are testing our faith it is imperative that we keep our faith. Our faith will not remove our problems, but will give us the strength to get through them.We are praying for you and Liz.

I haven't seen Liz in over a month now. I've talked to her 3 times and the last time she told me she wanted a divorce. I;m trying to hold on but it's getting harder ever minute. I'm still open for phone calls from any of you. I'm at 301-932-6445. Thanks very much, Guys!
