While pulling weeds from the strawberries I found two blossoms. Now that might be normal for California but not Northern Ohio in November. I traded two gallons of cider and two small bags of apples for one bale of straw. A 3x3x8 foot bale! The pony will sleep well this winter. The wife has her to do list but I have been making items from maple cutoffs I got for kindling. They cost me a gallon of cider for each truck load of kiln dried maple! Cider is more valuable than any thing else around here!
