Thanks. This holster looks softer than it really is due to the wrinkles. Matches my skin, which is also getting pretty wrinkled up
. It's actually very well formed and stiff and I expect it will remain that way (the holster, not my hide).
I have a couple holsters from Diamond D up in Alaska for another pistol that are very similar in design and construction, that I've had for several years, and they've held up quite well. The Diamond D is about double the price of the 1836, and takes about 2 months to have it made.

I did change out the stock trigger for their flat trigger and also put XS Big Dot sights on it, both of which helped. Kinda like prosthetics for old coots like me.
