Like most everyone else, I'm sitting around trying to figure out something to do.
The cannon carriage business has stalled.
I'm bored.

I have collected rusty iron for most of my life. It hangs on the fence in the back yard until I figure out what to do with it. I have posted pictures of some of the things I have made in the past.

With nothing to do, I pulled some things off the fence and cleaned the rust off.
Then I had to figure out what to do with it.

Since no great ideas popped into my head, I just decided to stack some of it.

Here it is. It serves no purpose other than to just look at it. I, at least, find that satisfying. :D
I call it industrial artwork. My lovely assistant, on the other hand, calls it something else.
It weighs about 35 lbs.
At least I got to play on my lathe and have some fun.

Looks great! I'm sure there is a buyer out there somewhere!

Thanks Ron but it really didn't take much creativity. All I did was clean some rust off, linseed oil the parts and stack them up on lathe turned oak sections that also only got linseed oil.
It still looks cool and the first person an artist has to satisfy is himself.

Looks cool. I assume the spiral tapered ones attach to a plow to weed or break the soil?

I think aerating the soil is also a purpose.
