I realize there are parts of the country (US) that might think this inappropriate however ...

I never thought I'd be so glad to see it rain! This AM we got a few much needed sprinkles. Hoping for a good deal more to bring the fire danger down.

I hope you get some if you need it. We had a real dry spring, but late spring and early summer has been pretty wet. the grass is really thick and needed to be cut more than usual for July here.

We can always use some rain. We had a wetter than normal spring but, you would never know it now.
It is 107 f here and about 60% humidity and the lawn is drying out as I type this. (6:45 PM)

It's raining here in NE Georgia as I write this. It's a much needed break from the wood working I've been doing the last two weeks. Woodworking you say? Why haven't I posted any pictures? What marvelous project have I been married to for weeks on end?

Well, I've been cutting, splitting, hauling and stacking firewood in 90 + degree heat for two weeks. I don't think that rates taking pictures, but I will if ya'll insist.

We had to take down a bunch of storm damaged trees back in the early spring right when I had my neck surgery and couldn't do anything with them so I've been playing catchup for a while.

I've still got lots to do and some of it I will be using my chainsaw mill on to make lumber for future projects, and I will take photos of that.

But today, I get to rest cause it's raining !!!!

yeah, Jamie. It's really been uncomfortable what with the humidity and all. My memory ain't what it used to be I'll confess, however I can't remember a summer quite like this one.
