The winter weather around here (near Chicago) has been very mild only a little early snow.
Today the tempature bottem droped out a high of 19*
But no smow I am still driving my "toy car" that is salt free I thought by now it would have to been put away for the winter.
My toy is a 94 Lincoln Mark 8 in very good condition.

At 8:00 AM today it was eight degrees, snowing and 15 MPH breeze blowing. Winter has arrived in Kansas! I don't have to drive in it so I won't!

Sub-Zero here this moring, and snowing lightly. We have had about 2-3 inches since Christmas day. Today we're hoping to see a high of 3, but I'm not real hopeful about that.

I'm giving up and hybernating, I'll see you in the Spring. :-?

I feel foolish posting that we're experiencing a 'cold spell' with the temps only slightly below freezing (30-31*). Pretty chilly for these parts, though.

Currently -3* add in wind chill it feels like -20* forecast for a low of -7* overnight and -5* @ 06:00 when I leave the house for coffee. The weather service in LaCrosse WI has issued a wind chill advisory effective until 10:00 on the 31st. Wind chill is the bad thing, with the low humidity the temps don't seem so bad but add some wind and it gets nasty. After a few cold windy days you just adjust, adapt, dress warm and carry on

Yes, Francois, I decided to follow the sun this winter and try the deserts of the Southwest. The only problem is the cold and snow invaded the Southwest. So, I'm just taking my time, enjoying the warmer weather in the South and I'll make it to the Southwest when I get there.

Temp right now is 33 and is supposed to drop to about 15 by dawn and then get colder. They say it will get down to zero again, or less. I am so exicited.
