Picked this old? level up this morning at a estate sale, not because I'll ever use it, but just thought it was interesting. Any pipefitters here that might be able to date this? Couldn't find one exactly like it on the web. It's a Curv-O-Mark, Pro-Mag-Level, made by Contour Ind., Paramount, CA.

It's in nearly new condition. Cost me $25 at the estate sale where I found it, and based on what I've been able to dig out , it was made sometime in the 60's or possibly earlier. The company redesigned it in the 70's or later, and sold the new design in the same box. I've been told the company moved all production to China in the late 80's. I don't think there's many of this model around anymore, since I've searched practically the entire web and not found one yet.

You can see the differences here:

I've given up searching the web for any info/pics, etc. about this level. Sent off a couple emails to pipefitter web sites in hopes some old guy pipe fitter can help out. No replies yet.
