A lot of negative comments about this move by Kreg on the forum. It seems that the vast majority of owners prefer the front mount clamping system of the K3 over the rear mount clamp of the K4.
Especially when working with large panels where you have to reach over or walk around the bench to get to the K4's clamp.
I believe this is a big mistake on Kreg's part, but there are rumors that a K5 system with a front clamp is in the works......
If you don't have a K3 yet, might be time to spring for it before they're sold out.....or the new (and probably more expensive K5) is produced.
And no, I have no connection to the company, just a satisfied K3 owner who may add another one to the arsenal soon.
