Paulette's mother passed away at about 4:00 this morning. She had been fading for the past month or so, and it was expected, but it is still a sad time for us. On Monday I am leaving for Tennessee to see my sister for the last time. She too is going fast. This is not a good start to the new year for us. Any prayers for Frances and DeAnn are gratefully accepted.

Bob, I'm really sorry to hear the news. You know that Paulette's mother is in a better place. Give Paulette a big hug from me, OK?

You're a great brother to go visit your sister again. Thanks for showing how great families can be.

So sorry to hear this Bob. It sounds like a lot of us are riding the same bus. My wife is out with her 80-something Mom and there is no telling when her time is coming. We all know how the movie is going to end but it never gets easier...

Thanx all for your thoughts and prayers. Right now I am in a motel in Portland. I have a 6:05 AM flight to Houston, then on to Knoxville. My second sister is in Tennessee now, and for the first time in many years we will all be back together. Charlie White, I will contact you while I am there. I still have your phone numbers. Thanx again all, you are the greatest on the greatest forum!!
