I was going to take my wife to our favourite restaurant tonight but I left it too late to book and they're full. Embarrassed

Instead I'm cooking her a nice meal at home. Duck a l'orange followed by a nice Tiramisu.

What are other people doing?

Ray

Tonight we had a venison stir-fry which was drop dead awesome, followed by a REAL home made baked cheese cake drizzled with raspberry chocolate sauce.

That woman can cook! :D 8) :D

My wife's out of town  . So I made myself a steak with some fresh turnips and collard greens from our garden. Not bad at all but I'd rather my wife were here.

Here's our Valentines dinner...

from scratch pizza dough-- we each make our own shapes for our personal pizzas which we decorate ourselves (LOML, my 2 boys who are 6 and 8 and mine... LOML's is the heart) In the picture is also some chocolate covered strawberries LOML made and a pic of her anniversary/valentines gift, an "eternity ring" (I didn't know such things existed....)

Happy Valentines all, hope yours was as good
Lawrence

After church, I went to Popeyes, Liz went to Applebees and got a salad, we came home and ate watching 2 Guys Garage. Very romantic!

Larry, you're a hopeless romantic :D

We went to a local restaurant that had a Valentines special. Choice of entrees for both, bottle of wine (not fine wine) and a dessert to share. Meal came with salad bar, corn fritters, baked potato, green beans and rolls, plus coffee. Not too bad for $49

We had dinner at the Maui Ocean center table for two all alone in front of a tank of salt water fish. wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out of our stinking budget.

but the smile on the face and the glassy eyes said it all. she thought it was pretty cool too :D :D

then we got to watch the sharks sting rays and Ahi swim around. SHe had a great time so I did too.

I hate hallmark for all these special occasions. because we have to pull off something good or be a skunk.

two women at work hate these holidays and the commercialization, alas I am not married to them :D
