Not only is it snowing hard, but the wind is howling. I'm praying that the power stays on, we don't have any trees in the neighborhood since the tornado, but all the lines are overhead and come through a wooded section to get here.

This is Feb. 10th! I'm supposed to be wearing my red thong by now!!

Looks like around 8-10 inches this AM. The winds started about 9:00 and are continuing. Difficult to see the houses across the street at times. Snow drifts starting to form around the cars and sidewalk.
Everyone stay safe and warm.

Sounds like you are getting Iowa weather, it never snows here if the wind isn't blowing at least 30 MPH.

Hang in there, it will be over in time for flooding and tornados :(

Phase III snow emergency has been called which means no one on the roads except emergency people. Already planning on spending the night at work. Some co workers have been here since Tuesday morning. We even had a local fire station burn down after the roof collapsed on it and broke a gas main and caught on fire. It has been an interesting day so far. I work in a hospital and we are scrambling around trying to set up places where the staff can sleep. It is getting crazy.

Hey Buddy and all you other friends in the east:

Stay hunkered down.

While we all know that the F-150 could go almost anywhere, especially with a few bags of sand in the back, no one should be out there unless they are a first responder!

Larry, let the neighbor move the snow for you. I don't want to have to come up there and visit you in the hospital just 'cause you had to move some snow.

Y'all take care now. Thank God we only have received rain from these storms!

Chuck: If you checked the weather, lately, there is a cone of weather coming across central Alabama, that threatens to dump 1-3" of snow across the state... If you are in the central area of Ga. You may get the same thing we get.

I HATE SNOW.

As of 4pm today, Baltimore was already 10" over the record for snowfall in a season. And folks, WE AIN'T DONE YET!

As for weight in the bed of the wood hauler, there's two feet of snow in there so I don't need any sand.

I don't mind snow actually. About the time pollen starts flying around here, I'd love to have 2 feet of snow... :D

I sure wish the plants would keep their stuff to themselves....
:(

Well y'all take care, and I'll pray you make it through all this....

Well I just got home. A 16 hr day at work. Some of my co workers have been there since Tuesday morning and they still have not gone home yet.
Surprisingly the roads were in great shape considering what we had. However my cleaned out parking spot had about 3 1/2 ft of snow in it. I just put the truck in 4w low and plowed into it. I am taking a vacation day tomorrrow so I can dig myself out.

Larry, should have left town yesterday.
But it looks like we're going to get our 1st snow friday night (1"-3").
I already know you're ready for this so be safe.

HI Liz!

Well now it's my turn.
First snow this year for central South Carolina.
Dumping 1" a hour and no wind.
So we might have 6" by morning.

I need to clean out the garage for the RAM.

To go along with Bob...
Here outside Atlanta we got about 2" to 3". Everything is shut down. This morning the water on the roads has turned to ice and slush. It does make driving a little difficult. :-?

But the snow on the trees at sunrise is just spectacular! I know NPDH and I will post a couple later.

I'll put my pictures here.
This is the 1st snow for this area of SC.

I did go out at 8am to take pictures before the sun got to the trees.
But the camera didn't store them. Anyway they were gone.

A look from the front porch-

A look of the back yard-

The canopy over the boat on the right edge didn't make another
hour after the picture was taken. It was heading to the dumpster
when I got it.
