I checked the temp. first thing this AM, (6:30) it was 24*.....no, wait...thats is 2 . 4*!!!! looked for the third time....OH YEA there is a minus sign there too!!!!! But the breeze is down to 15 MPH so the snow isn't blowing aroung too much.
I'm chilly!! it is 55* in the shop with two heaters going.

The global warming conference was cancled due to cold weather conditions.
Big Al still instists that we have a problem that can be solved if we just throw enough money at it.
I personaly think that the axis of the world is changing and the central part of the US will soon be known as the north pole.

The current lingo is climate change. The critical fact that you are missing is that all of the green house gasses we have been releasing (i.e. CO2) not only cause global warming, but also cause global cooling. It is all very straight forward.

Trade ya--We have over 36" of snow on the ground not counting the 8" of total powder that we got yesterday, now as you can see we are being clobbered with 30-40 MPH winds--neither State nor County Trucks are running in this area. About the Western 2/3 of the state is listed as no travel advised.
I didn't go to work this morning, never would have made it, so have been monitoring the scanner, IHP, county sheriffs department, and state and county motorgraders and plows have been trying to get to stranded people. one guy left his vehicle and it took them a long time to find him.

You need this :D :

Whiskey Hot Toddy recipe - serve in Cup

1 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
1/4 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz sugar syrup
1 slice lemon
1 clove
4 oz hot water

Heat in a heat-resistant glass, and fill with hot water. Add a lemon slice speared with a clove, and serve.

Vicki, I sure don't know how you make it through these winters

Stay warm, stay safe, and think warm thoughts

Oh, mix some blueberry and blackberry wine together in a glass.....tastes good, and warms the tummy just enough

Hey Gene,

Substitute a cinnamon stick for the clove, and Rum for the Bourbon, and you have my favorite Winter warmer. :D
