Hi guys,

RJ has to have another cardiac cath in the morning. This time, it may go to open heart surgery, for a bypass. They told me that I would not know in advance, if it goes to open heart, unless I see them speeding him by to surgery. We have to be at the hospital at 0730. His birthday was this past Friday, he's 69 now. He's been hitting the nitro quite a bit, from what I can gather. Husbands don't tell their wives, everything, in regards to their health. Needless to say, I am worried, but trying not to let on too much. Thanks in advance.

Trisha

My dear friend Trisha,

All of you (your husband, you, and the surgical staff) will be in my prayers this morning. I have just said one, I'll say one about 7:30, and another about 10:30 that all will be well.

We are all pulling for you both.

Trisha and RJ tons of prayers, hugs, and thoughts going out, we have BTDT, modern heart surgery is way better every day.

Trisha, you watch yourself, this is not good for your diabetes either, take care of you so you can take care of him.

Keep us informed, cause you are family you know!!

Hi guys,

With all of your thoughts, prayers, hugs, good vibes, and just being here for us, I was very comfortable while he was in surgery.

The best news of all, is...

No balloons!, No stents!, and No open heart surgery! :-D

The complications, which I just learned of yesterday, from his last stress test, were just minor complications - but they had to make certain.

I think what freaked me out from the beginning, was that he had called me from the doctor's office, that he had to have a bypass. So that set the stage. They had wanted to do it the very next morning. RJ had told them no - so he could finish getting Christmas orders out - just in the event something did happen.

Anyway, this is the first cath that nothing had to be done. He was back in the room in 46 minutes. It was late afternnon before we got back home.

Sorry I didn't get back with all of you last night. I was so worn out that I didn't even turn the computer on. I got up with low glucoses yesterday, and that pretty much wore me out. *Henry* - my cgm, let me get a full 8 hrs. sleep last night! Something I don't get very often.

Thank you all so much!

Love and hugs to all,

Trisha ( and RJ)

p.s. to Vickie - hope Duane is feeeling better!
