Me too :(

Is this, by any chance, the story about the guy who drove his $1.2 million car into the salt marsh?

The worst part is that someone was driving along and recognized the car and was videoing it and showed it going off the road into the water.
That's the first time I ever saw a $1.2 million dollar splash.

Wasn't as much fun as watching Geraldo Rivera getting knocked on his rear by a wave in Galveston during Ike, but in a pinch it will do.

I have seen the tape a few times and I still haven't seen the pelican yet, of course you know that it was a brown pelican that was just removed from the endangered species list, I think it was planned, I am just wondering if the Mayans predicted it would happen.

Note to self, next time I'm driving a $1.2 million dollar car, watch road, not bird.

IMHO, a car like that makes about as much sence as texting on a cell phone. What is it good for other than driving fast, collecting tickets and impressing people who aren't worth the effort of impressing?

Do I feel sorry for him? Not in the slightest. If I'd been stupid enough to be watching pelicans and video taping them while driving my truck into a marsh, would he feel sorry me? Not on your life.

Serves him right and I'm just glad that the moron didn't run over a pedestrian or bicyclest in the process. Hope he was ticketed for DWHUA!

I kindof agree, but then kindof think some folks would think it obscene to spend the money some folks do for Festool tools or infil planes.... to each their own I guess.... the Veyrons are awfully pretty though; Top Gear (the tv show) took one up to 230'something miles per hour... it was pretty darned awesome to see

Hey Ray,

Apparently the video is no longer available because of a copyright claim.

At least the video of it being dragged oiut of the lake is still there.

In many ways a much more wrenching experience when you see that the back wheels are hardly moving at all but are just slidding on the mud. Either someone left the parking brake on, or the back wheels are siezed :(
