Update...well, after much research and soul searching...I have decided to not close the shop and go trucking. After weighing all the options, sticking with the shop for now seems to be the "safest" option.

I have decided to downsize the shop and move next summer (when my lease is up) into a smaller shop. I have all the business I can handle being a one man shop...so, recon I better keep with a known factor and work on making it more profitable.

So you haven't seen the last of me yet.

Bob

Sorry the trucking thing didn't work out for you, but the selfish side of me is glad. :D Would have missed seeing all of your spectacular saves on some really rough furniture pieces.

Bob, I think that you have probably made the right decision if you have never had experience with OTR trucking. It seems like it takes a certain person to be over the road all of the time without getting burnt out totally.

Sure hope you can keep the shop going, you do such excellent work.

Vicki

I used to travel internationally for work. Business class, nice hotels, and expense account. After a few trips it was just work. Hotels are just rooms no matter what size they are. Everything gets boring after a while.

BB, glad to hear that your going to still be doing what your greatest at.

The OTR trucking rt is a arduous one that has many complications.

My oldest son is one of the OTR drivers, quit once, but has returned, because it is the only job he has known. Lots of up and downs, months away from home, etc.

Love the work that you do, and hope to see more of the same in the future.

Not every door that opens is reason to walk through it.
There will be more, and choices are tough.
Good luck at what ever you do.

Too bad about the trucking but
I am selfish and was already missing your
commentary and help.
Glad you are going to stay for awhile.

WOW...THANKS for the reassurance...really appreciate it!!

Life is full of decisions...some more easy to make than others...and at times...just NOT sure what to do. These are weird times we live in, life just ain't as simple as it used to be, is it.

Y'all are good friends...and have given me a lift in my spirit today. Thanks.
