With the temps below zero and calling for even colder. I ordered a load of kiln dried oak cut offs from the local lumber yard to help up the output on the woodstove. They said I could pick it up the 21st. The high school right across the road from the lumber yard called for me to sub on the 2oth &21st. So I took the trailer and picked up the cutoffs after school. One trip two purposes ! Now I have over a ton of kiln dried oak stacked up in the house and shop to add to my larger chunks of fire wood from the wood shed. It takes longer to "lay brick" piling the cutoffs than just dumping them but you can get a lot more in the same area.
