shadow, on the shoulders of, inspired by....... all are reflected in our projects. Technique is based on that of years past which has passed the time test. New tools usually have their purpose define as doing an old task maybe faster or maybe more accurately or with less effort. One of the giants of the past whose work still inspires is Grindling Gibbons. His influence probably affects only a narrow field of woodworking but his work, in my opinion, ranks with the great masters of the arts.
