bottom is often used as an example of a nice smooth finish surface. But from my experience the bottom also got lubed and rubbed out. That can hold true for a nice finish on a project and you can make it as glossy as a STEINWAY piano or silky satin in appearance. Wet sanding takes some time but can give you big rewards for the time......the project was made to last several lifetimes, right.
