a time when you need to use an old saw blade to make a blade or tool for your shop. Here is an article to help if you need to drill holes in the old blade.

I have never tried this old tip. When you need to drill a hole in an old blade, chuck an 8d or 16d nail in a drill press and "burn" the area where you want to drill the hole by "grinding" the head of the nail to create friction/ heat to draw the temper in a very specific spot. Sounds good but I've never tried it :wink:
