Sorry Frank,

You're wrong, ...meaning you got it right. :confused:

It is indeed a quadrant latch used for a dutch door, and IMHO it is pictured right side up, although I have seen them mounted both ways.

So as Ralph use to say here, Frank gets the soggy points (we have thunderstorms today). :D

Ps The reason I think that it's right side up is that the quadrant will swing down and out of the way when not in use. If it were mounted the other way it would swing down and into the path of the lower door.
