Sawing this piece is leaving all, or most, of the end grain plies burnt black with no effect on the long grain ones. Started with a steel "Plywood" blade. one of the zillion teeth ones that use to do fine for this sort of thing. After doing all the checking alignments etc with
no effect, switched to a thin kerf Carbide blade with no noticeable change. Set up the router table to act like Jointer to take a light cut off the edge, about 0.02 inches and that made the end grain plies even blacker, again with the long grain plies just fine. Any one have
similar problems and any suggestions for a solution. The finished product is natural finish so can't hide it with Paint (Ugg that word)

Hey Lew,
When all the machines fail, I grab a freshly honed low angle block plane. :-D
Cheers,
Tom
