I have been making woodworking items for over fifty years and I can honestly say only one project turned out perfect. Since it was made from a single piece of wood there were no seems or joints to match, When I had been married three years the wife wanted a toothbrush holder for the bathroom. We had one child at the time .I picked up a small piece of wood and cut it to shape and spaced out six slots since that was what would fit evenly on the piece. I hand sanded it until all saw marks were removed ,and finished it with some varnish I had left from a larger job. We ended up with four children so six was the right number to hold the tooth brushes. Almost fifty years later the rack is still in good condition, though it has some toothpaste "film" embedded in the varnish over the years.Every other project I have made has some minor flaw even if I am the only one who can see it or knows it is there. The rack is still holding out well three houses later.
