My Performax 16-32 drum sander conveyor belt came apart
and I am in the process of replacing it.
However a question if I may,
Should the plate that the belt rides on be waxed?
This is the 17x24 inch steel plate that supports the work and the belt.
My concern is that if waxed or otherwise made slicker the wax/other
will transfer to the belt then to the drive roller.
Would appreciate some thoughts and experiences if any.

Thanks
Duan

I'd have to look to make sure but as I recall, the belt on my Performax was described as self lubricating when I last referred to the owner's manual. That was in my younger years, of course.
