Was visiting the son-in-laws shop and went to use the Porter Cable ROS and it "blew up" ..
It hadn't been used for a while and is about 12 or 13 years old but I certainly didn't expect that to
happen. :-) I wonder if parts are still available for that model.

I don't have a PC ROS ... but have purchased parts from both ereplacmentparts.com and toolpartsdirect.com with success for other products.

Here's a link for PC sanders:
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/porter ... _1997.html
http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/sander-g ... cable.html

You're on your own to figure out which "type" sander you own.
But, yes, those pads are readily available.

Is it a 333?
Mine failed on Monday. We broke 3 ROS's on Monday the pad on my 333 the PSA pad for my 6" and a belt on another 5" a bad day for sanders!
I would suggest that you get one with 8 holes rather than the 5 holes as the 8 disks are easier to get. It is the same pattern as the DeWalt 3 mounting hole pad. One of the larger Home Depot's near me has them in stock.
They are available on line for a little less expense.

Yep, it's a 333 Type 5 . How much, or what, is the difference between the Type numbers.??
I'm surprised that Home Dep would stock parts for them, UNLESS it is a big continuous problem. :-)

I was a little surprised that they had them also they are labeled De Walt look for the one with 3 hold mounting (there is also a 4 hole you don't want that one) the new pad has 8 vacuum holes witch is the pattern most of the new sanders use and the most commonly available sanding disks I have converted both of mine.
I ordered mine off of Amazon, they were a little cheaper and I had a $50 gift card to use.

If you want a 5 hole (in good condition) I'll send one to you, you'll owe me for postage. PM me

Went into Danville and Lo and behold the Home Depot had those pads for the DeWalt. Two different
models so had to open a box to see what was different. One has 4 holes and the other 3 (Mounting holes)
the 3 hole one fits exactly the Porter Cable. Great !!! Back up and running. :-)
