Some people get lemons and make lemonade, my son just got a Delta drum sander as a gift that had been cannibalized. We have been able to find almost everything to bring it back to life. the switch and dc control was missing as well as the table height crank and gears. the reason the former owner gave up was someone cranked too hard on the height control and that model had plastic gears which failed. The new gears are steel so that will help. The new parts are on order, more after we get it operational. The only part still needed is the hand wheel for the height adjuster.

We got everything except the DC control for the table feed wiring for the DC motor. I've head about using a 12v lawn motor but how do we control the speed etc. Also is there a different drum sander that is still in existence that we could order their control?

Hey Frank,

I have a Woodmaster. Their reversible feed control looks like it could be use elsewhere.

Good luck,
Tom
