So I am back to work on the kitchen and I have the mixer lift cabinet installed and am now building the door for said cabinet.
This is what I used to look like
and this is what it looks like now.
Some years ago I bought a router door set of bits for just such a job and am finally getting to use them, I really like how they bring a door together. So I got the styles and rails cut and routed they fit together like not so great by themselves, if I clamp them the fit better but still no what I want, so I got out my Kreg pocket hole jig and made a test corner from scraps that I had already routed to test the bits and how to fit them. Drilled some pocket holes and lo and behold they fit together perfectly.
There is no glue in that test joint but of course the door will be glued and screwed? My question is, is there a down side to glueing and screwing?
