I haven't been doing much woodworking lately and I'm not sure this qualifies as woodworking. It's more like construction :D

Anyway, here are some barn doors I built for a customer. We installed them on Saturday. I'm guessing they liked them, since they gave me a little extra money (install took longer than anticipated) and asked if they could refer me to others.

Ask if they could refer you to others? I'd call that a happy customer and successful project! Good on ya.

The customer wanted to use gate hinges, which definitely made it easier to get the doors hung. We didn't have to hold the doors in place while we ran a bunch of hinge screws in. Only had to run in the lag bolt part of the hinge in and then sit the doors on the hinge. Once he gets the other hardware installed, the hasp will keep the doors from being able to be lifted off the hinges, as there is not enough room to lift them up when they are in the closed position.

In case you can't tell from the pics, these doors are pretty big. They're about 9' tall, 4-1/2' wide and weigh in excess of 150 lbs each.

Thanks for the comments.
