Now you learn to appreciate a decent set of instructions. (I couldn't learn French in high school!)

I saw it at the Atlanta Woodworking show. I figured I could use a little plane I could abuse without having to resharpen a plane blade when I did some rough work- my specialty.

I have got most of it figured out but there is one piece that has me beat.

This is a little triangular something with two arrows pointing out in opposite directions. It came in a little plastic bag with a nut, a screw and a really fat washer that doesn't fit the screw. Does anybody know what this does and where it goes?

Richard, try going through all of these images. I'm not sure which part you're referring to, but this is what I've found through Google.

This link has some English verbage. Click on the Rabot Kid 24 picture and another screen comes up with some pictures with English, also.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the link, Verna.

I had looked at some of those videos before but couldn't get too much out of them. The videos are short, repetitive and those people talk funny.

I finally figured out where that triangular piece goes but I have no clue as to what it is for. Sounds like time to contact them by email.

It's kind of a nice gadget to get down and dirty with. Little learning curve- not too steep. Gripping it is hard on the fingers. Probably need to use the gloves to hold it. It's not easy to set up without hitting the edge of the blade sometimes.
