The cherry cradle that I made for our daughter 7 years ago was originally finished with Danish oil and has held up well has been in use for most of the time (by our daughter and friends) and has held up well some scuffing but is in over all good shape.
It is n going in to storage for a while (maybe a long while) should I just add another coat of Danish oil or use wipe on poly, for the long term.

It doesn't really matter if you coat it enough. Danish oil is just a mix of oil and poly. A clear wipe on poly like Minwax will not change the color hardly at all. The oil might darken the color, just a matter of the look you want.

I agreewith hebertoo generally, but I'd stay with the Danish just for the sake of consistency.

Thanks for the responses.

I had already kinda decided to go with the Danish oil.
It was kinda sticky as the the temp was 90* and the humidity was about 60% here in the DFW, TX area.
