Spousal Unit is on her way down here this weekend. We should get the upper end of the shadow box done, the back and most of the base finished up. With luck, I'll be ready to order the glass by Monday. Then I'll just have to work up a couple of ring stands for displaying rings in the box.

After she heads back, I'll work some more on a couple of other small boxes and try to start the design drawings for a Sword case/stand that I'm doing for a friends retirement. Gonna be a great weekend in the shop.

hopefully turning a couple of pens/pencils for both the contest and to give away to some co-workers that are leaving my office

We went tonight and met the kids' teachers. They are starting school next Monday (first and third grade) and this will be the first time for "full day school" for them both. LOML is VERY happy.

Summer has finally arrived in Seattle!

So this weekend is dedicated to chillin' on the deck and huli huli chicken on the grill (Mango knows all 'bout that) :D . Okay, maybe we'll do a little cleaning up around the shop, but not much else.

Tom

Yeah, Tom, summer has finally arrived here and just in time for the Darington Bluegrass Festival. We usually attend the Saturday session so that leaves Sunday for fussing at the landscape/yard with frequent intermissions to scrape and sand on those upper cabinet doors.

I don't have much going on as projects go. So decided to organize the shop a bit better so I can work more efficiently (yeah, right ... efficient, HA!). Of course this snowballed and now I need to move some of the DC piping.

Another busy day in the shop on Saturday, and today was the start of installing the cabinets at PK's house...
