I'm looking for a reasonably priced crosscut saw. Any suggestions?

I recommend a Disston #12 at about 15tpi. You can usually find them on ebay for around $30.

Takes a bit to get used to, but works great, and if you get one with a removeable blade, travels in the kit easily. I've got an Irwin from Menards that does just fine, leaving the Disston on the wall most of the time.

I like the Japaniese style "pull" saw for hand work. They can be fairly cheap and have teeth for both cross cutting and ripping.
