I've been making some acorn birdhouse ornaments lately to send to relatives for Christmas later on this year. They are about 2 inches long by 1 1/4 inch in diameter at the base of the cap, and the acorn itself is about an inch in diameter. This one is made with a walnut top and an oak bottom. The perch is a 5/64th inch dowel from Michael's and the birds are from Hobby Lobby. My wife liked them and made a little tree to hang them all on as I make them. This one is one of my favorites.....Jim

Awesome - the woods look great together.
* Thanks for the reminder - time to start thinking Christmas presents again.

That's cool, Jim! You need to make some full size now.

That is awesome, and it appears to be hollow, or is that paint?

Nice idea and well done
