... Do you know what you're going to be working on this weekend?

I have some baseboards to refinish and install. Then more work to do on the kitchen to prepare for the new cabinets.

Getting back into the shop after a long week at work... I'm tuning up a corrugated sole British #4 to be a user and am getting that jointer plane up to speed. I've also roughed up a blank to make a plane for a hock blade... I think I'm going high angle with it.

Tonight we are going out with some friends to celebrate LOML's birthday (yesterday)

I'm sick! But I'm still going to try to get down to the shop and do something.

Just got back from Hearne Hardwoods. Bought 3 wide (15, 17 and 18") planks of ppp... conifer for .99/bf. No gloat, I have a chest of drawers to build. Starting NOW! SWMBO is getting impatient.

Making progress on my Dobson Sun Telescope and the replacement mount for the LOML 10" Scope (see picture to the left)

This is what the sun telescope looks like http://planitarium.net/sfsa/sunscope/ though my mount will be less fancy.

Working on two small 'memento' boxes for my nephews who are graduating this year.

Then, a few tool evaluations! :-)

Saturday - it is another Meccano (Erector) meeting - busy time of year for nuts and bolts...

Sunday - need to paint some 94 year old Meccano for a big model we are exhibiting next weekend... and build some model railway (railroad) baseboards.

What's this got to do with woodwork? Lots! we are designing a cabinet to hold some of our more precious Meccano and the railway baseboards (for work - I love getting paid to play trains :D) are made from wood and assembled using pocket hole jointing system.

I also had to turn a couple of wooden pads for a G cramp so I could photograph them for an article I am writing.

Apart from that I have not done much other than write a report on a woodworking show, scour the local DIY sheds for paint and sit down to Roast Beef, Yorkshire pudding, the usual trimmings and a bottle of red - Hick!

Looking forward to Monday for a break!

Ralph  8)

Still working on the built-ins for the living room. I only started them in September. A couple more weekends an I should have them done.

I found a couple of old wooden bowls in a kindling pile over the winter. I want to re-turn them and give them some life.

On Saturday, put in a full day working with Rebuilding Together Baltimore. Kind of like a Habitat for Humaity project. A group of about 10 from work made a bunch of improvements to a home in Baltimore City. On Sunday, finished up the cornhole game I built for a client. Hope to deliver it this evening. Made my requisite $.12/hour :D Also helped LOML with watching our 4 month old grandson.

John Boy,

About two years ago I made a cornhole game for my grand-kids. They love it (and so do I). It is a fun game. I hope your client likes it. :-D
