Thanks for all the nice comments guys! (and you are quick too!!
)
Tom, I'm not quite sure about your idea as I would have to make the lower leg in two pices for adjustment but, it might not be as noticable as I think. They are gituar players and singers so they stand during the preformances but, I too wanted to make it for someone that may be sitting. I'll work on that.

Great design! It looks pretty stable and I really like the tilt mechanisum. Great work there. About the only thing I'd think about changing would be to cut the piano wire hinge where it shows through the letters. It's highly reflective and in bright lights can detract from the looks. I'd also paint the underside of the top and it's support elements a flat black. Doing this could really pop out the front and make it much more dramatic and readable.
Ice, it is fairly stable but, I really don't like the base but, I need the weight of the larger pieces. And yet it needs to break down for transportation also. It measures 4'-0" tall and 2'-0" wide
I planed on painting the exposed parts of the hinge black and the underside and support black too. But when I suggested that to a friend, I thought he was going to have a cat!
I think that I will do it anyway because I want the three D look of the cross standing out.
Anyway, thanks for the comments and approval.
